Almost half of America have legalized medical marihuana
Most importantly, medical marihuana, the experts have been changing their views on the substance, too, based on the researches and the apparent benefits to the human body. They claim that the drug should be legal for medical uses.
The two active chemicals found in marijuana produce the beneficial outcome for the human brain without a high. In particular, cbd oil is considered to be a potential anticancer drug, while tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has pain relieving properties.
Taking medics approach on marijuana into account, based on their research, medical marijuana had proven numerous of times its positive impact on the human body by helping to treat vital diseases or reduce chronic pain.
The biggest breakthrough in the history of the medical cannabis effectiveness has been the discovery of a chemical found in marijuana that stops cancer from spreading. It has been proved by the researchers at California Pacific Medical Center in 2017.
A gene called Id-1 plays a significant role in cancer progression by functioning in the promotion of tumor development. CBD prevents cancer by diminishing this gene, the study found.
The researchers studied breast cancer cells in the lab that had high expression levels of Id-1 and treated them with cannabidiol. After treatment, the cells had decreased substantially Id-1 expression and were less aggressive spreaders.
CBD reduce pain
In addition to that, CBD extract relieves pain in patients with advanced cancer. Jeremy Johnson, former Medical Director at the Shropshire and Mid Wales Severn Hospice, stated: “The primary analysis of change from baseline in mean pain Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) score was statistically significant in favor of CBD compared with placebo…” It concludes, that CBD extract is proved to reduce pain in patients with advanced cancer, not fully relieved by strong opioids.
Relieving advanced cancer pain is a major CBD benefit that eases patients journey towards the cure. However, it has been tested and proved that over 64% patients reported that smoking cannabis three times a day reduced neuropathic pain and improved their sleep.
Adults with post-traumatic or postsurgical neuropathic pain were randomly assigned to receive cannabis over for 14-day periods in a crossover trial.
According to the study “Smoked Cannabis for Chronic Neuropathic Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial”, the conclusion of the experiment have been made, that “a single inhalation of 25 mg of THC herbal cannabis three times a day for five days reduced the intensity of pain, improved sleep and was well tolerated.”
These benefits of CBD are only a few of the many, hence it is time to get educated about its medical value and exchange the chemical substances to the natural cannabidiol.
